How to get there
The cost of your Camping ticket includes travel on all CityRail services* on Friday the 19th, Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st of September 2014 (valid till 2am Monday 22nd September). There will be a free shuttle service to and from the Defqon.1 Island that leave from Penrith Station. So if you want to leave your car at home for the weekend, just bring what you need in a backpack, and we’ll take care of the rest. The shuttle service will run on Friday afternoon from 2:30pm and then again on Sunday morning to get you back to the station.
The Shuttle Bus will drop you off right at the Defqon.1 Entrance, and is the easiest and most hassle free way to get to and from the venue.
*Station access fee applies for travel between Domestic and International Airport stations and the City. You will need to purchase a separate ticket.
If travelling from Interstate or overseas, download the TripView App on your smart phone or go to www.sydneytrains.info/timetables
GETTING THERE BY CAR
If you decide to drive, you can park your car right by the venue for the weekend. However, because you’ll be camping on the Defqon.1 Island, you won’t have access to your car for the weekend, so make sure you take everything you need. There are NO PASS OUTS. Parking on Friday September the 19th will be via the Gate C entrance at the Regatta Centre, which is accessed from Old Castlereagh Rd.
The parking fee for the whole weekend is only $20.
Once you’ve arrived by car or shuttle bus, you’ll need to grab your gear and your mates and head to the Defqon.1 Main Entrance. Please note, Security will check all of your bags and gear for any prohibited items before you head to the campgrounds. Once you get to the campgrounds, you will be given a brief induction to the island and a safety brief.
Then you’re off to your accommodation for the weekend where you can get settled in, take in the fresh air and party!
